Header: PQ & setup ok, but extremely noisy

Pros: Excellent speed at low price.
Cons: Ridiculously noisy fan stays on way too long after each job.
I bought this printer for light-duty personal office work. The ~$70 price for a refurbished 2070 unit was difficult to beat, and since I was extremely happy with my older Brother 1070 at home, I purchased this unit.
Setup was no problem, and PQ/operation has been good through the approximately 1k prints I've made so far. Brother shipping a 1500-print starter cartridge is annoying, but I knew that when I bought it.
By far the biggest negative I see for the machine is its noise. Even with Powersave (time to sleep) set to its minimum time of 1 minute, the cooling fan stays on for 15 minutes and is ridiculously loud for a personal printer. If I had known how noisy this machine was, I would not have purchased it.
A secondary negative is the high levels of curl and sheet distortion I get occasionally. The lead-edge corners of some sheets can easily be 1.5" out-of-plane. Since I rarely print big jobs or those requiring high PQ, this doesn't bother me a great deal.

Review 2Head: Reliable, compact, good price

Reliable
I got this for small print efforts (a few pages per job, no more than a few jobs per day), and have never had a problem. Installation on my home network was simple, and installation on client machines was easy.
I'm also pleased to see it still for sale after I've had it for over a year. Too often, I buy some technology and it's no longer for sale even 2 months later. This still being available makes a testimony for it being a good product that doesn't need a lot of enhancements.
Compact
I have three black&white laser printers from other manufacturers, and this is definitely my favorite. It is quieter than my Samsung and about the same as my Lexmark...and it is considerably smaller than either (mostly shorter).
FYI: Being compact, it has a curved paper path. I don't know that this is a problem, but I have not tried card stock or thicker paper in it.
Good Price
I paid $100 for this printer...which is a great price for a network-attached printer. (Having a network-attached printer is a big improvement over a PC-attached printer. For my PC-attached printers, I am too dependent on that machine being turned on.)
This printer does require an ethernet cable to your router. I was hoping to find a wireless network printer, but they are quite expensive. (I previously had poor results trying to use a wireless-to-USB print server as it didn't seem to support my (different) printer's protocols.) While, as it turns out, I don't need this printer to be wireless, I would imagine that a Wireless to Ethernet bridge would work well. (For instance, Linksys WET11 or WET54G, Belkin F5D7330, or D-Link DWL-810 or DWL-G820.)
