Pros: Canon printers get great reviews...not sure why.
Cons: Noisy, bulky, text printing poor, photo prints colors look washed out. "Drinks" ink.
I purchased my Canon mp810 printer (all in one) two months ago and have been disappointed in its performance. The printing, both text and photo, is marginal. I have tried using all the "adjustments" programmed...and there are many..with dismal results. I wished I had discovered the poor performance during the two weeks I had to return it to Office Depot. Some other drawbacks...it is very large and looks like a monolith on my desk...it is very noisy, it does have a "quiet mode" but the printer runs more slowly with this option...well, I could go on but wanted to mention the worst feature...it DRINKS ink. Since some office stores don't carry Canon products...it is sometimes hard to find cartridges. So, don't bother with this product...get an HP!

This printer is pretty fast compared to my other Canon printer, a Pixma MP460.
It comes as specified on the Canon website for the mp810 model with a black and color ink cartridge, so the other reviewer must refer to a different model, stating that it only comes with one ink cartridge.
I tried out all functions and am very happy with the results at this price ($89 at amazon).
I have only one phone line, however did not have the same problem the other reviewer referred to. I set the fax to telephone priority and my answering machine will pick-up after 4 rings without interference from the fax.
The software installed without a hitch on my computer with Windows Vista.
The reason I did not give 5 stars is that the manual is very vague. I had to try out a few menu buttons to get the right settings without being able to find precise instructions in the manual.
