I've used several printers and I always felt somewhat uncomfortable with them. Right before I got this one, I bought one from Kodak at local store and just returned it on same day. I bought this one at same store and did not expect good quality, honestly speaking, I was ready to return this one too, it was just $41.99, one of cheapest at the store. Wow, I was so impressed with the result of first printing. It printed an exact same color and image of monitor. I love this printer. Canon I trust now.

This printer is one of the best values that I found. The price is within almost anyone's budget. But the quality is the same as many of the much more expensive printers. Quite fast and excellent quality for black and white and color photos.
Also, it uses two (2) ink cartridges, one black and white and one color and they are both much cheaper than other printers. One can buy then from Canon for about $20 or less. Thus, if you are like most users who use one more than the other, you can save.
I would recommend this printer to both new and expert users. A great buy.
