Pros: Cheap. (get what you pay for) Lots of features. User friendly.
Cons: Terrible color print quality. Very low volume print cartridges. Its a money drainer.
I recently purchased the Dell Photo 926 based on the list of features and price. It sounded like a pretty decent deal. I was VERY wrong! This printer is okay on black/white but it's color print is terrible. Even when the print quality is set to Quality the finished product is quite poor. Also, their ink cartridges are very small and require frequent replacement if you are doing any significant amount of printing. Of course, the frequently needed new print cartridges can ONLY be purchased from Dell, creating a nice annuity income for them. All the features on this unit mean nothing if the print quality is so poor.

The good point is that it is user friendly. However, ever hear of those printers that use up ink like an old gas guzzler? Well, this is one of them. Every time I purchased this printer when I purchased my new Dell computer and am very disappointed. The advantage is that a pop up screen comes up every time you are low offering to order you more ink. You will become very familiar with that screen! The print quality is poor as well. I have no idea where all that ink is going but it is not going into the photos! I am seriously considering purchasing another printer even though this one is still functioning just to save money.
