Strengths: Feature-packed. Great scan and print quality.
Weaknesses: Extremely expensive ink. Only comes with "starter" ink pack.
Summary: It has every feature I want to use as a home all-in-one: scan, copy, photo print and print on CD/DVD. That's all I need at home.
Print quality is great at the expense of extremely expensive ink. It's kinda ridiculous to see that printer with ink sometimes is cheaper than just a new pack of inks.
Scan quality is better than my previous standalone Visioneer 8100 scanner. Scanned photos still maintain vivid color. "Epson Scan" utility is very easy to use and can output image and PDF files directly.

Strengths: You can make your Cds very professionally, good picture quality, price is really good when on sale, multifunction
Weaknesses: It takes time to line up tray to print on CD, really hard to set the CD nicely.
Summary: I have a Canon Multipass Mp390 all-in-one printer for 2 years and it works well for me. I won't plan to change a new one at this time but the Canon stopped functioning after i first time put the generic ink for a try. After some research on the current popular and sale printers, i decided to give Epson Rx 595 a shot. It was on sale and with $50 manufacturer rebate. I tried some prints at the store and bought it back and tried more. So far I have printed out 200 pictures, very beautiful and in good quality, I have done 20 CD cover printing too, it looks very professional. Comparing with my old Canon, this new rx595 prints quiter and faster. The scanner functions well too. All in all, i like it most is its direct printing labels to CD/DVD feature. Ink consumption is decent, but i am still wondering how well it can function with the generic ink.
