I was impressed that Epson now uses a sleek black poly material for the casing rather than that old dismal "Stylus 800 Gray" which all of my computer equipment came in years back. The machine is a little powerhouse - B&W printing and copying are instantaneous, virtually no delay after you hit "Print" in your dialog box. Scanning has always been a great feature of Epson's products and it delivers beautifully; If you are fortunate enough to own a new Imac the extension for Photoshop installs itself automatically and you can start retouching instantly after setting up really professional looking scans. Print quality is superior to Canon and HP. The great thing about Epson, don't bother printing at anything but "Normal" resolution, because you are just wasting ink. I don't ever think I've owned a printer that I "enjoyed" using, until this one. All kinks of former incarnations are gone, quite simply. Image quality for artwork and photography is outstanding.

I picked this up this weekend and so far I am very impressed. After spending 15+ years using HP printers I was a bit skeptical jumping ship to another brand. I was in the market for a WiFi printer that could also copy/scan. For the price I feel this is a steal. Setup was very fast. Printing/scanning/copying is very fast over WiFi. I've noticed people have complained about the ink running out fast, to those I say get a Laser printer if you plan on doing heavy volume printing. If you do the occasional print job this should suffice. Also I've noticed ink is about $5-$10 cheaper for Epson than HP which I was used to forking over for so many years. If you don't plan on doing heavy volume printing but want all the modern features of a great inkjet all-in-one pick this up.
