I bought this printer mainly to print directly on printable CD/DVDs. I used to do my labeling with LightScribe disks, but decided that a full color label looks so much nicer. As others have stated, the label design portion of the included HP software sucks big time. I had always used SureThing for my LightScribe labels, so I upgraded to their latest version, which supports this printer. SureThing + this printer makes great labels!
I also like the front-mounted USB PictBridge port. Very handy to plug my camera into!

I have been happy with this printer and would recommend it. As with other reviews that I had read prior to ordering the D5160 I found the CD print program to be limited as to text and picture location. As others had done I used another program to design my CD and export it to "My Pictures". From there I could move it to the HP program and receive a perfect printed CD. As always Amazon supplier was fist class and my printer arrived in three days.
