I bought this for my home.
I installed the software exactly as instructed.
But after following all directions it would print, but not scan or fax from the computer.
So I went on the website to find technical support. I couldn't find a phone number, so I went for the 'live chat'.
Well, after going through 3 live chat technicians and uninstalling and reinstalling and doing everything exactly as they said....and rebooting, completely screwing up my configuration and removing all anti-virus and firewalls I was still having the exact same problem.
Finally after 5 hours I got annoyed and went to live chat again but told them to give me a phone number to call.
So they did, and that guy had me do the exact same things over and with the same result.
Next, they wanted to call me back.
I'm still waiting on that call back.
Basically, I'm sure the printer etc works fine...in specific conditions....where your computer is fresh out of the box or something, but if you've got anything else running on it they appear to have set it up to conflict with other stuff.
So major negative points to lexmark programmers for not resolving that issue.
I'm going to take it back and switch to a different manufacturer entirely

My old printer (which still works) is a Canon BJC-4200 Photo which I paid $170 for. My old scanner, a Mustek costing me $120, which quit on me which is why I went shopping. I originally started look for a new scanner, but after my brother suggested I look at the All-in-One Printers I began to realize that I could update both and resolve an old problem I've had with using my PC to send and recieve faxes. I stumbled across the Lexmark X5470m at Walmart and was impressed by what I saw. The price of $90 was also impressive so I bought one. Since I haven't used any of the other All-in-One Printers on the market, I don't know how they compare quality or performance wise. But none of them compare price wise to the Lexmark X5470. For my purposes, I find that this device does everything that my old equipment did. Only it does it better, faster, and for less money with the following exception. The Lexmark X5470 ink cartridges either don't come with as much ink as my old Canon ink cartridges or the Lexmark is putting more ink on the paper because it goes through ink cartridges much faster. For example a BC-20 black ink cartridge for my Canon BJC-4200 printing text at normal resolution will print about 700 sheets of full page text. The #32 black ink cartridge for the Lexmark appears to print about 100 to 200 pages. I picked up the High Yield Black #34 and Color #35 cartridges for the Lexmark this week to replace the #32 Black and #33 Color when then run out. Lexmark claims that the High Yield cartridges will last more than twice as long. If that's true, that will put them in the same category with the Canon print cartridges for price.
