Header: Great for business, be careful for home

This is a great business-oriented printer. Print quality is very good and it is very fast after is warmed up (10 min or so from power-on). No complaints there whatsoever.
Be careful if getting it for a home office. Every time the printer gets turned off, it dumps the hot ink into the overflow container, so you have to keep it on all the time unless you can afford $70 ink refills every other week. The problem with keeping it on all the time is that it's very noisy even in standby mode which is distracting in a home office. If you get it for home, I'd recommend setting it up in a different room than you work in.

I got this printer from Staples free shipping. It runs hot, very hot even in sleep mode. If you buy compatible solid ink, it is fairly affordable. If you buy genuine Xerox ink, it is not worth it. It prints fast for the price,but it very noisy while printing. The first reviewer is wrong when he writes that the printer in noisy while in sleep mode. It is "Sleep Mode", it does nothing, hence no noise. But, it does wake up by itself for no documented reasons. When it does wake up by itself, it does make funny noises for about 30 seconds and freaks the dog a 4 o'clock in the morning. Thech support claims it is due to network activities. Well, it is behind a router and at 4 in the morning, the computers are OFF. They also tried to blame the power source. Very lame. Finally, when I got it back in June, it shipped with Beta Vista and XP drivers. Beta drivers. Again, very lame. And remember, this is not a photo-quality printer.
